The Challenge

  • In order to increase production capacity, client wanted to build a coal plant in Netherlands
  • Client was working with sub-contractors to build plant
  • Avertim asked to interface (SPOC) between client's engineering team and sub-contractors
  • Quick resolution of any issues was key priority

Avertim's approach

  • Tracked/ resolved issues with a follow-up incidents matrix to ensure:
    • Incidents prioritized according to criticality
    • Effective coordination meetings with mechanical and electrical subcontractors
    • Efficient and quick resolutions
  • Supervised and followed-up on work delivery of subcontractors (by managing a team of client's engineers)
  • Ensured changes were correctly managed (eg. Clear records of changes made, etc...)
  • Reported progress on every building phase

  • Proven methodology is currently reused by other engineers teams on next building phases
